My eyes have seen the light
The coming of the Lord
or the Ford that rides so quickly down these streets and beats
with Bass and treble, with a course in how to stay safe
and avoid the trouble not treble and metal
I . . . I see the coming of the Lord
My messiah, the Almighty, the Higher
being, power the man the spirit the call of the Hour
My ancestors’ drug their extension and reason to live and
not give up see I see the coming of the Lord
The preachers and the mothers and the trustees and the Stewardess Board
I see them all not on the outside, just within these four walls . . .
So my question is how long before the coming of the Lord is visible
Visible to the other man, the ones who can’t and the ones who can?
But I see the coming of it ALL the Lord and the Glory that falls
ALL that moves forward, backward and rises and stands tall
I see the coming . . .
